RESPONSIBILITIES

• Helps lead the architectural project team through close collaboration with Partners and PMs to achieve design, technical, and financial success
• Plans, coordinates, and manages a variety of project types, including multifamily housing, healthcare, and hospitality
• Collaborates with team members and other lead professionals to ensure design and documentation are in accordance with project expectations
• Negotiates critical issues with appropriate parties
• Travels periodically to project sites
• Mentors younger team members
• Performs Construction Administration, including reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs, and conducting evaluations of the quality of work

IDEAL CANDIDATES MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Planning, Design, or a related field

Experienced Project Architect

LCM Architects | Chicago, IL

We are seeking an Architect Level I to join our Architectural team with experience in production and design of medium to large scale projects. The ideal candidate will assist the Project Manager/Architect in all phases of design and has at least 2 to 3 years of architectural experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creation of presentation drawings: images, color plans, and conceptual modeling
• Assists Project Architect in code research, IBC, zoning, and accessibility
• Drafting (Revit) – addressing red-marks, sheet and view setup, and technical drawing
• Works directly with the production manager during construction documentation
• Works with a project team
• Attend design and construction meetings to observe and take notes
• Assists the PM in answering RFIs and reviewing submittals

IDEAL CANDIDATES MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university
• Minimum 2 year’s experience in the architecture profession
• Thorough understanding of all phases of the typical architectural deliverables
