The renovated E/F Wing at Governors State University now offers modern academic and research spaces for collaborative learning and scientific exploration. We departed from the building’s original ‘open plan’ concept by identifying a more efficient layout to accommodate two colleges specializing in science, math, technology, and health and human services. The design optimizes square footage, upgrades MEP systems, and introduces gathering areas within newly created circulation spaces that enhance natural light and views. To minimize disruptions, we executed the construction in two phases.
