Our team strategically planned the relocation and consolidation of Northwestern Medicine laboratory facilities in two hospital locations, enabling us to coordinate simultaneous construction with a single bid package and general contractor for both sites. We retained the majority of the Microbiology and Histology lab at McHenry Hospital, repurposing space formerly designated for classrooms and offices. The Pathologists’ suite also remained at McHenry. Additionally, we relocated substantial portions of the Microbiology and Histology lab, along with its accompanying storage, to the Woodstock Hospital laboratory.
